Jeff Kibble, federal Conservative candidate for Cowichan-Malahat-Langford, is leaning heavily on well-known trophy hunter Jim Shockey for political support.

Shockey is a guide-outfitter who owns the Hand of Man Museum in Maple Bay and has hosted a long-running TV hunting show.

Shockey is also a supporter of US President Donald Trump, as evidenced by his social-media post, shown here.

Neither Kibble nor Shockey responded to a request for comment.
